Child Health Clinic
Dr Morrison and one of a number of health visitors provide Child Health Clinic
on Monday afternoon. This clinic provides opportunities for your child to have
developmental checks and for you to discuss other problems eg sleeping, feeding
and child health concerns, with a doctor or health visitor.
The practice also provides Childhood Immunisation on a Monday afternoon.
You can have your child immunised even when they have a cold unless there they have a high fever. They can also be immunised when taking most medicines, including antibiotics. If an immunisation dose has been missed, please try to arrange it again as soon as possible.
The currently recommended immunisation schedule is as follows -
2 months 1st dose diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio, HIB and MEN C1
3 months 2nd dose plus HIB and MEN C2
4 months 3rd dose plus HIB and MEN C3

4-5 years Booster - diphtheria, tetanus, polio and MMR
10-14 years girls Rubella (unless already had MMR)
10-14 years BCG (at school)

Please speak to either the doctor or the health visitor if you have any concerns in relation to any immunisation.
