Confidentiality is of major importance to us as a practice and your medical records are treated in complete confidence. The information in your records may be accessed by other medical professionals if appropriate e.g. District Nurse, but they are never shared with anyone else without your consent. Release of medical records to other bodies e.g. Insurance Companies, Solicitors, may only be done with patient consent.

You are entitled to view your medical records from Nov 1991 but, as a practice, we are happy to assist with giving you access to previous records where appropriate and with the agreement of your regular Doctor. Please discuss the matter with your Doctor or the practice manager.
