Dr Len Morrison graduated from Queens University Belfast in 1973. He then trained in general surgery and in 1977 became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. In 1978 he spent a year working in a mission hospital in what is now known as, the Democratic Republic of Congo. He commenced General Practice in 1980 and for the past 25 years he has been based at Cherryvalley Health Centre.

He continues to be involved in medical missions by spending occasional periods of 1-2 months abroad. He is also on the Board of the Christian Blind Mission which has an Irish office based in Monaghan.

Married with four grown-up children, Dr Morrison aims to preserve the old-fashioned principles of family practice within the framework of an efficient and effective modern practice organisation.
